TRU Voices
The TRU Voices Club of Mountain Heritage High School is part of a state-wide youth tobacco prevention multi-media campaign through TRU (Tobacco.Reality.Unfiltered) funded by the North Carolina Division of Public Health. TRU Voices Club members act as tobacco prevention advocates in their school and community by using various forms of media and activities to work towards becoming a tobacco free generation.  Through involvement in the TRU Voices Club students can join the state-wide tobacco free movement and let their voices be heard. Teens all over North Carolina are making a difference and TRU Voices of Mountain Heritage High School invites you to get involved!

We are now funded by...
Due to changes in the state budget, our TRU program is no longer funded by the Health and Wellness Trust Fund.  Sadly, as of June 31, 2011 the NC Health and Wellness Trust Fund was abolished.
The good news is that the NC Division of Public Health has decided to fund our TRU programs for the third and final year of our grant contracts.

Thus, the TRU Voices Club is now made possible with funding through the North Carolina Division of Public Health

TRU Voices Meetings 2011-2012
The TRU Voices Club will meet every Tuesday during "B" Lunch in Ms. Carrie Huskin's Room located in the English Dept.

There may be days where we will meet for the entire lunch period depending on other club schedules and tutoring.

I believe this will be a fun and exciting year! As long as everyone comes to meetings and gets involved!
